It's A Brand New Year!!

Behind the scenes, we have been secretly working on some exciting changes over at Mercantile - just in time to ring in the New Year!  So before I even preview all of the kits hitting the store tonight at midnight (central time), here's a little overview of why it's an even better time to become a member of the club. . .

- We are setting our one-time purchase price for the Monthly Papercrafting Kit at $32.50 beginning this month.  That means more product in your kit and more value for members as the member price will remain at $27.45 each month.

- Exclusive Papers - also beginning in January, the Papercrafting Kit will not only come with the exclusive stencil and stamp you know and love, but also 2 double sided exclusive papers designed by our own Lisa Dickinson.

- Each month,  you will now have the opportunity to add-on a monthly dime store deal.  This month it's our JBS Outline Alphabet Clear Stamp Set for only $6 (a $14.99 value)!

- And, because now more than ever is the time to become a member, we are offering this incentive for the month of January . . .

So without further adieu, here's the amazing line-up for January. . .

Each month we will be pulling something from my Studio to use as inspiration for the exclusive paper's and overall kit design.  This month we used this sweet vintage flash card. . .

This month's Papercrafting Kit exclusives feature deep raspberry tones and feather detailing. . .

Just a peek at the kit itself. . . it made Doris's heart skip a beat and I'm sure yours will too. . .

The Artisian Add-On has some subtle bling in the form of self-adhesive sequins and glossy Thickers as well as tag and clip embellishments. . .

What I love about this month's Antiquarian Add-On is that the colors blend so nicely with the main kit, yet they are toned down, with that subtle appeal you can only get from "true" vintage. . .

This month's Mini Album Kit designed by Megan Klauer also happens to blend beautifully with the other kits, but stands alone when used to complete the adorable honeycomb textured album as is.  I'm predicting that this one will go fast!! . . .

And for those of you who love your digital cutter, don't miss the exclusive cut files included with the Papercrafting Kit (like this Feather set below) and two new sets to coordinate in the Kit Cuts section. . .

And of course new kits means a new Flea Market, loaded full of organizational items this month like these sweet, small printers drawers (really, you have never seen this size before!) . . .

and these vintage mess hall trays (don't worry - they are all shiny and clean, free of meatloaf and ready to hold all of your tiny treasures). . .

This is just a preview - get there first for the best selection!

Also available tonight, our entire fall JBS product release and my brand new punches for Fiskars including Jenni's Label, Pinwheel, File This and Quilt Star.  These are a limited release so get them while you can!

I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year!

Merry Christmas. . .

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy year to come!

My dear friend Melanie came by a few weeks ago and snapped these photos for our Christmas card (we haven't done this since Christian was 1)!  She is an amazing photographer and an amazing friend. . .

A word on dogs. . .

I've heard that they are bringing dogs into Newtown, CT for the kids (and adults) to pet, play with and love on.  In a time when words just won't do, I can't think of anything better to ease the pain - if even for a brief moment.

This 100+ pound, fluffy girl leaves hair all over my dark hardwood floors, tracks in mud and slobbers at the top of my stairs.

But she has eased my pain and stress many times, just by being there and offering unconditional love,  and she is growing up alongside my boys, offering them the same.

We couldn't imagine life without her. . .and in just a few days she will be rewarded with a big fat bone under the tree!

Christmas Decorations. . .

Thought I would share some of my Christmas decorations.  I finally finished up this past weekend, just in time for our office party this past Friday!

My mantle (been doing the same here for the past 2 years.  Old irons work great for holding stockings, etc. on your mantle.  Saw that in Country Living one year) . . .

I try to add things in with other vignettes instead of totally replacing things.  Just makes things a bit easier come January. . .

Same thing here - just added the old Santa cards over the cards I keep in there everyday. . .

This guy has become a staple each year on my old spool cabinet. . .

As you can see, I kept a couple of snow globes for myself.  This is one of the extra large ones that I made for Christmas Village. . .

I just added some pine cones into my ironstone here. . .

Another snow globe that I couldn't give up (these caramel colored celluloid deer are hard to come by)! . . .

I kept one of these old Midgetoy trucks too . . .

Vintage houses, trees and snow globes mixed in here. . .

I added this plug in tree this year.  These are becoming pretty popular I guess!  I remember my grandmother having one growing up - I believe they were handmade . . .

I love fresh greenery and poinsettias.  I think I bought almost a dozen this year (good thing they are cheap)!! . .

I took this photo a bit differently to let more light in.  We bought two of these old 6 foot tinsel trees too late to really sell them this year so I decided to put one up (and now I doubt I will be able to give it up)!!! . . .

Now I just have to finish the shopping - getting close! How about you?

We have a winner and an early mid-month release!

First of all, congratulations to Robin Dudley-Howes - you have won the Nunn designs giveaway!  Please email us at jennibowlin@gmail.com and we will get your findings out to you. . .

Now onto the preview of goodies that await you in the Flea Market tomorrow (Dec. 10th, 10:00 a.m. central time). . .

Two rusty old trucks that come with a set of hand bleached, dyed and mica glittered trees. . .

A made in Japan felt Santa and Mrs. Clause in perfect condition. . .

Several sets of made in Japan cardboard houses. . .

a few more cameras. . .

A great old scale and old leather shoes (separate). . .

more snow globes. . .

and so much more!  We pushed up this release in order to meet domestic Christmas delivery (we figured the 15th would be pushing it a bit with holiday delays).  Also, we will be putting several items in the Flea Market on sale so don't delay - pick up a gift or two (for you or someone you love) and check out this month's kits - all of which are still available in limited quantities.

Have a great start to your week!
